Breaking… President Buhari has landed in Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Nigeria through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
His long awaited arrival is coming after about 103 days in London, United Kingdom where he went for medical treatment
The president was received on arrival by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who led other top government officials to receive President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Others at the airport were the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar; members of the Federal Executive Council as well as presidential aides.

On speculations that Buhari had been forced to return due to the return or resigns protests in Abuja and London, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, told reporters at the airport that President Buhari’s return had nothing to do with the “return or resign protests” going on in some parts of Nigeria and London.
Adesina who stated that he and some presidential aides knew of his return some days earlier stated, that “The return of the President has nothing to do with the protest. It is about continuing with the work he started. Some of us knew about his return some days back.
“Remember that the Acting President held on effectively and they will continue the work together.”
A mammoth crowd lined up the airport road to welcome the president, along with heavy security presence.
