The Hope Never Die label signee, this week dropped “Figure 8”, his new super smash song which can now be downloaded from all top Nigerian music websites, including Notjustok, Tooxclusive and Naijaloaded.
In this song produced by DJ Coublon (Kiss Daniel’s official producer), Demmie Vee infuses a smooth blend of Afropop and Afrobeat to come up with a sound which resurrected the rhythmic spirit of Fela and which also has a huge potential to reawaken a fresh wave of Fela dance across the continent and beyond.
While this song, coupled with its hot artwork are currently generating talks online, a befitting video for the song is underway in a couple of days, according to Demmie Vee’s label.
Demmie Vee disclosed that “Figure 8” was released to give his fans something to groove to this coming yuletide.
“2017 has been an amazing year for me and despite the challenges in the country which I, like every Nigerian faced, I believe we just have to be happy and dance our sorrow away. That was the inspiration behind “Figure 8”, the artiste stated.
Real name, Ademola Awotungase, Demmie Vee first came into limelight with his hit song and video titled “Awesome God” featuring Tubaba. He has since gone on to do collaborations with many other top artistes including iconic singer, 9ice.
